Patient Success Story: Justin Brodnax

Hello Healing Bridge Clinic family,

My name is Justin. I first came to Healing Bridge Clinic after entering A Better Way Ministries in March of 2023. At the time, my diabetes was out of control because of the chaotic lifestyle I was living. I had to go to the emergency room a week prior to coming to Healing Bridge and they determined my body was going septic. To be honest, I’m not sure I even wanted to live.

I have no doubt the Lord implanted Healing Bridge into my life to nurse me back to health, not only with the medicines they provided, but with the loving kindness that I experienced the moment I walked through the door. I was in amazement not just to even be alive, to know how close I was possibly to death, but by the kind things that people were saying around me, sowing seeds into my life.

I experienced love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and meekness. I can't emphasize enough really the care that I had. I wasn't unique to being treated that way. At Healing Bridge, they treat every single person who comes through the door like that.

People can see where the Lord has taken me from my past to the man I am today. I didn't even see it when I was faced with it. It was only in the rearview mirror of my life that I could recognize the grace and mercy that people extended to me. The Lord was definitely working through Healing Bridge. They have an open door in their hearts to cater to people who need to get their lives back on track, whatever that may look like - mental health or medical issues - their doors are open to people who need help and I was one of them.

Even though I’ve moved to Walton County - two hours away from Healing Bridge - I still make the drive to the clinic because of the people planted around me that I trust. Not only do I get my medical issues taken care of, but it’s also just the fellowship to see the smiles on Brother Mike’s, Dr. Daniel’s, Kat’s face - just everyone there.

The Lord gave me the will to live and the will to take care of myself and, without Healing Bridge, and again, every single person who was there sowing kind words and actions into my life, I don't know that I would be alive today. I mean there's many miracles in the world, but you're looking at a miracle. I'm a miracle.
